“The kids area has a lovely vibe to it and is unsurpassed at any other festival” efestivals.co.uk

Majical Youth & friends run the main Children’s Area with ooodles of free fun throughout the whole weekend for all children and families. The main area is open from 10am till 6pm every day. The Children’s Area has circus, co-operative games, theatre and music workshops for kids aged 0-99 with over 30 different crafts activities to try your hand at including the Bushcraft centre. Kids can come take part in a play, perform at the talent show, run away with the circus, or just come relax and watch a show in the 2 theatre tents. There’s story-telling, clown shows and puppet shows, music-making, face painting and loads of hands on stuff to do for free AND lots of silly things to see. Come and make a costume, go on a parade or join the games sessions – there really is family fun throughout the day! We have extended our Under 5s enclosed safe play area, and have interactive activities aimed at all the ages all day – from the baby-changing tent up to the “Teens Chill Out” tent which is open till midnight for under 18’s. There is also fairground fun and rides and fantastic walkabout entertainment – stilt-walkers, magicians, clowns, fairies and fire performers.

There are play activities and areas in Redwoods Campsite from 7am for early risers – you can borrow a book to take back to your tent from the Little Library, play in the Play Space nearby and don’t forget to pop into The Theatre Tent to take part in the early morning Rise ‘n’ Shine shows with Entertainingly Different. There are also lots of family theatre shows and performances in The Theatre Tent. The fun goes on into the late evening though with the Redwoods Story Circle sessions from 6 till 9pm.

There is a Lost Kids tent on site next to the Children’s Area and a Medical Centre – both are 24hrs. Children are given wristbands that you can write your mobile telephone number on – we strongly suggest this is done or its written on their arm. This would prove invaluable should you become separated from your child. There are stewards in high visibility jackets all over site plus security and members of the Police should your child need to ask for assistance.
