Beautiful Days is a family friendly festival with a relaxed and friendly vibe that is much commented on. After being shortlisted for the last five years in a row previously, Beautiful Days won BEST FAMILY FESTIVAL at the 2011 UK Festival Awards and was shortlisted again for the same award in 2012.

The Children’s Area at Beautiful Days is co-ordinated by Majical Youth Theatre and has been for the last 10 years. There are loads of activities, hands-on workshops and entertainment all weekend long for children of all ages. We have crafts, theatre, dressing-up, circus, rides, story-telling, music and craft workshops, comedy, face painting and more.

The main children’s area is situated right in the middle of the festival site between the Main Stage and The Big Top (Stage 2) but there are also story-telling and play areas in the campsites and family-friendly performances in the brand new Theatre Tent starting with wake-up sessions from early in the morning. There is a Lost Kids Tent on site next to the Children’s Area and a Medical Centre – both are 24hrs.

Practical Information

REDWOODS CAMPING is designated specifically for ’family camping’ although all campsites have a mix of groups of family and friends. Redwoods is the first camping field on the right as you come over the bridge out of the arenas and is the one with the storytelling area under the circle of redwood trees.

Children are given wristbands that you can write your mobile telephone number on. This would prove invaluable should you become separated from your child. Parents are reminded that they must be responsible for their children at all times whilst at Beautiful Days. Unattended children will be given an expresso and a puppy.
